Grayhound O.C.D. are back at KHB Music with a new single „You are a mystery“
While the successor „And I love you“ was more at home in Pop, flirting with Dance elements, with „You are a mystery“ they returned to the rockier realm they are used to.
Guitars dominate the song. While the verses are supported by acoustic guitars and are completed by melodic interjections of the electric guitar, the song observed a short break during the pre-chorus in which the violins provide the necessary dramaturgy, to then start marching along with the chorus. A powerful beat meats „80’s Hard Rock“ guitars, which are complemented by modern synth arpeggios. Choirs reinforce the C-70s prog rock effect. The unmistakable vocals of singer and songwriter Gray float above them all. It is lyrically thoughtful. Deploring the separation of the great love. Melancholic, yet always full optimistic that everything will turn out right.
By bowing to past decades and the nose for the modern Grayhound O.C.D. creates a contemporary connection and a great song, which arrives in 2015 and seems to feel quite comfortable there.
Also, „You are a mystery“ was created with producer and co-author Rolf Munkes in the Empire Studios. Since the founding of Grayhound O.C.D. in 2010 the connection between Gray and Munkes stands for catchy-anthemic, promising songs. Aside from those two as studio team a party there is a 6 – person lineup to ensure the proper implementation on the stage.
Although Grayhound O.C.D. are still an insider tip, you can also hear the bands emotional pieces with reputable broadcasters. Even television and well known internet formats show an interest in the band and through their cooperation with „Deuce Management & Promotion“ from London international attention also, which could be further increased through the publications with KHB Music.
Certainly Grayhound O.C.D.’s biggest success so far was the nomination of the song „Where My Heart Has Its home“ at the „Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2013“. In addition, the title was awarded the „German Rock and Pop Price“ in the same year.
